標題:Constructing carbon nitride embedded Fe0 for efficient activation of peroxymonosulfate towards organic pollutants degradation in water

摘要:Peroxymonosulfate (PMS)-based advanced oxidation technology have emerged as a promising technology for organic pollutant remediation. In this study, carbon nitride encapsulated Fe0 catalysts (Fe-N/C) were synthesized for PMS activation towards organic pollutant degradation. The prepared Fe-N/C-700 catalyst with high BET surface area (194.08 m2·g-1), abundant graphite N and Fe0 sites exhibited superior activity. Over 98.58% of Methylene blue (MB, 10 mg·L-1) could be rapidly degraded within 10 min in Fe-N/C-700/PMS system, and the rate constant reached to 1.21 min-1. Fe-N/C-700/PMS system also exhibited prominent advantages of adapting to a broad solution pH range (3~11), strong resistance to inorganic ions and natural organic matter, long-term stability and excellent solid-liquid separation performance. The graphitic N and Fe0 in Fe-N/C-700 were the main reactive sites for activating PMS to generate 1O2, and HV-Fe=O. These reactive oxygen species (ROS) collectively contributed to the degradation of MB. Besides, acid red G (ARG), tetracycline (TC), crystal violet (CV), methyl orange (MO) can also be efficiently removed within 10 min in Fe-N/C-700/PMS system. Therefore, this study provided a promising alternative approach for the degradation of organic contaminants in water.
